ARC Marine came to Fruition as a start-up company intent on becoming a leading national player in the emerging artificial marine reef industry. To achieve this they required a brand identity and website that would position them as experts in their field.
Working closely with ARC we developed a professional brand and responsive website. It was vitally important that the logotype was flexible as ARC were keen to use it on a range of applications from business stationery to diving equipment and clothing.
We went to Fruition with just a name – ARC Marine. The journey and conceptual ideas that led to the finished brand identity is testament to the creativity and research carried out by the team. We wanted a brand that could hold its weight amongst MNC’s. The identity they created has given us the confidence to approach the big names in business and helped us in gaining investment from the Virgin Startup Group.

Virgin Start Up
We initially had a couple of meetings with Tom and James from ARC Marine to get to know them, their proposed business, their products and the sector better.
The goal for them as a start up was to service all requirements for artificial reef consultation, construction and design. Their team of three consisted of a dedicated marine scientist, product designer and a HSE certified SCUBA diver.
As with all of our branding projects we researched ARC’s competitors to gain a greater understanding of the market they wanted to be seen amongst. Based on our findings we designed a range of logos that gave ARC a professional marine aesthetic, all of which being flexible for print and digital use.
ARC Marine went with the logo shown above after which we began designing their website. The responsive site includes a blog for them to share their case studies, a page about the team and others telling of their vision and the technology and services they provide.
The creation of the website was a quick and seamless one. ARC directed on the pages they needed and supplied content quickly. They were (and still are!) very pleased with the design. They have since been picked up by Richard Branson and were awarded tracked to the Virgin Start Up scheme.
