Introducing the reinvented Thatched Tavern, situated in Maidencombe Torquay. The pub is well known and very popular which was in need of modernisation in order for the new owners to begin trading.
The project required a complete overhaul for the building refurbishment, branding, website and marketing material. Our design team offered a complete range of services to meet all the needs of the client in order to give the business the transformation it needed and make this as seamless and co-ordinated as possible.
With the aim of wowing old and new customers the interior design and the build and fit out stage was completely project managed by Fruition. This was delivered as a finished scheme along with a rebrand, website and social media campaign which created awareness and a buzz about the re-opening of this community hub with a visual story of the refurbishment.
Simply Stunning. At every stage Fruition delivered exactly what we agreed and the final outcome is a Devon country pub that we always dreamed of
– Stephen Naylor, Owner
This project required a wide range of design services, from space planning the interior, detail design of the bar and reworking of internal elements to make best use of space. The commercial areas of the pub were completely overhauled and brought up to date while retaining the character and charm of the historical thatched building. The residential property to the rear of the pub was extended and fitted out to make a comfortable homely modern interior for the owners to relax out away from the busy pub. All elements of the architectural scheme required planning.
The interior design elements gave the space a strong identity with bold colour that tied in with the branding and logo. The existing character of the building was enhanced by retaining stone elements and introducing timber panelling to make the dining space feel sophisticated.
– Louise Hart, Fruition
A new website was launched using the new logo and branding, also created by our design team. It promotes the character and charm of the pub and its location, focusing on the quality food offer, the pub experience and seamlessly integrates with the online booking system.
We designed a fresh new look and feel for the brand to match the new food offer and pub dining experience. A logo was created that gave a traditional feel with a modern twist to appeal to the target customer that would desire this type of foodie pub offer. This was applied across signage, menus, website and social media to provide a consistent brand experience.
All elements of the pub refurbishment, the residential extension and interior fit out were fully project managed by Fruition. The project was planned and co-ordinated, costed all elements in detail and was planned to provide a scheme that fit the set budget.
Listed building consent and planning approval was obtained for internal alterations and improvement for the pub interior, the garden landscaping and the residential extension and alterations.
The building and the business was being transformed which needed to be advertised and shown to potential customers. With a focused social media plan the marketing message and new offer was shown to the target audience, brand awareness was increased and excitement was created for the opening of the new pub.
